Thumos Health Center specializes in acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Our philosophy is to promote the most desired state of healthfulness in our patients. We believe in optimizing our patients' balance of body and mind in order to help them reach the natural condition of self-healing which is possible for all of us. Once that balance is reached, the body's vital energy—Qi—is maintained and so is one's health.
Our daily physical stressors and emotional demands weaken our vitality, thus allowing illness to occur and healthful potential to diminish. Acupuncture and Eastern medicine are holistic practices which care for patients' physical and mental ailments on a systemic basis.
Thumos Health Center offers exceptional personalized care and practices an integrative approach to health maintenance. We believe in the efficacy of acupuncture and Eastern medicine but we encourage sharing our wealth of experience with Western medical practitioners. The knowledge which has grown out of this integrative understanding of medicine helps us to address our patients’ acute and chronic conditions with great success.
Accordingly, we're named after the ancient Greek term thumos, which signifies passion, spiritedness, and vitality. At the Thumos Health Center, we are passionate about seeking out the best treatment for our patients.
We are located in Pacific Palisades, California and we have satellite clinics in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
