Founders Bryan Abel and Ganit Kriel are experts in treating a number of women's important health issues and conditions, including:

What Is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a condition in which there is inflammation, scar tissue, and adhesions in the woman's pelvis region, essentially blocking the egg's path along the fallopian tube. It's more common in women ages 25 to 40 and a leading cause of pelvic pain. Thankfully, many cases of endometriosis can be successfully treated and healed using acupuncture and herbs.

What Is PCOS?

PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is the most common cause of infertility and a complex condition that impacts the ovaries. It's estimated that PCOS affects about 75 percent of women with ovulation difficulties. Symptoms can include infrequent periods, increased facial and body hair, acne, and weight gain. At the Thumos Health Center, we offer a highly effective, natural approach to combating PCOS.

Life isn't always that simple and neither is the human body. Bryan and Ganit of the Thumos Health Center are ready to help you experience the optimal health and quality of life you deserve. Compared to conventional Western medicine, Eastern medicine shines at treating and resolving female hormonal imbalances and PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome). Symptoms can include mood swings, sadness and irritability; cravings for sweets or salt; diarrhea and/or constipation and abdominal bloating; breast swelling and tenderness; headaches or migraines; insomnia, foggy-headedness and clumsiness. Our qualified professional practitioners use acupuncture, herbs, and lifestyle/nutrition recommendations to make dramatic improvements in a woman's quality of life.

What Is Perimenopause?

Perimenopause is a natural stage of aging that leads up to menopause and the end of a woman's reproductive years. Symptoms are similar to PMS, yet often increase in severity, including mood swings, anxiety, and depression. Other symptoms that women can experience, include irregular menstruation, and even skipped periods; hot flashes and sleep troubles; fatigue and poor memory; dizziness and heart palpitations; and decreased chance of fertility. Can acupuncture and herbal medicine be used to successfully alleviate the stressful effects of Perimenopause? Absolutely yes!

What Is Menopause?

Menopause marks the end of ovulation in the female body, and can last from a few months to several years. Every woman experiences menopause differently, from mild to severe symptoms that may include insomnia, hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings, vaginal dryness, headaches, and weight gain. At the Thumos Health Center, our practitioners know how to use acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to quickly and successfully relieve menopausal symptoms without the risk of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).

Acupuncture and herbal medicine excel in the area of successfully treating migraines and managing a multitude of pain conditions. Our practitioners can help to strengthen your immune system; regulate blood pressure, blood flow and body temperature; relieve stress and anxiety; and even speed recovery time from surgery. Although pain affects more women than men, women are less likely to receive treatment. Please don't suffer needlessly when safe, highly effective relief is available to you at the Thumos Health Center.
